To talk about facts or generally accepted truths..3

برای بیان حقایق عمومی و پذیرفته شده .

for Example: if you heat water to 100°c it boil

Wet blanket e.g.: You shouldn’t invite him to your birthday party. He is such a wet blanket!

 آیه یاس، حال‌گیر مثال: نباید اونو به مهمونی دعوت می‌کردی. او یه آدم حال‌گیری که نگو!

Knock on wood e.g.: The children haven’t had a cold so far this winter, knock on wood!

 بزنم به تخته! بزن به تخته! مثال: بچه‌ها تو این زمستونی تا حالا مریض نشدن، بزنم به تخته!

 As like as two peas in a pad e.g.: The two sisters are as like as two peas in a pod.

 مثل سیبی که از وسط نصف کرده باشند، کاملا شبیه به هم مثال: دو تا خواهر مثل سیبی می‌مونن که از وسط نصف شده باشه.

 Dog-eat-dog e.g.: It’s pretty tough to survive in this dog-eat-dog world.

 هرکی هرکی، ظالم، بی‌رحم مثال: خیلی سخته که تو این دنیای هرکی هرکی آدم زنده بمونه.

. همدم بودن - من ورشکسته‌ام، می‌شه یه مقدار پول بهم بدی؟ - ببخشید، منم عینهو خودتم.
